DAWNA OF THE DEAD has been seeking distribution for some time now. companies were afraid of the films edgy and extreme content. but finally someone has stepped up to the plate. The director and producers of DAWNA OF THE DEAD have at last found a company willing to distribute the film uncut. A DVD release date will be announced soon.

DAWNA OF THE DEAD recently celebrated Valentines day with our good friend Corpsey from GIRLS & CORPSES magazine. GIRLS & CORPSES had a magazine premiere and signing at DARK DELICASSIES in the heart of the valley. it was a horror-star studded event. DAWNA director Laume Conroy and Starlet Ginger Cash were signing issues and greeting fans. check out pics vfrom the event here.

35: The web-master of disaster is at it yet again, its sorta like digging up the corpse of the slave that died a year ago and beating it again ain't it? So not only did this actress/webmaster refuse to sign her release form in a pathetic attempt to extort money from me, (which is what kept DAWNA from being released for so long) but she hacked into the web accounts and misappropriated the dawnaofthedead.com domain and now because her hits are so low, she's routed dawnaofthedead.com to her personal website, still trying to cash in anyway she can. Some of us work for what we have and some of us take it away from other people.
34: the DAWNA OF THE DEAD premiered at the New Beverly Theatre to a packed house at midnight (when could be better, right?) the DAWNA girls were out eating, uh, i mean greeting the fans, the folks from GIRLS AND CORPSES and SCARS MAGAZINE dropped by to show their support for DAWNA. so special thanks to everyone that came out and a big apology to the folks we had to turn away. event photos will be coming soon.
33: DAWNA OF THE DEAD PREMIER. in case you didn't know DAWNA will be showing one night only Midnight August 14th at the New Beverly Cinema located at 7165 West Beverly Blvd. Los Angeles Ca. 90036 tickets are only $8.00. FYI, the box office only accepts cash. get there around 11:30 to secure a good seat. meet live in person the stars of the movie, get free DAWNA stuff and meet the DAWNA girls, the hottest bunch of zombie chics we could dig up.
32: NEW DAWNA OF THE DEAD TRAILER. the trailer that's up now is a little different than the one that was up before and i think I finally fixed the video incompatibility issue, so everyone should be able to view the trailer now.

29: HOLY SHIT WE ARE BACK! it's been awhile and boy do we have allot to catch up on. where to start, where to start... ok, you will first noticed we went from .com to .net, that's because of the insane webmaster of disaster who quit taking her meds, flipped out and deleted all of the sites, including dawnaofthedead.com, sirenvideo.com and sirenvideo.net and all of the myspace addresses. she then refused to put the sites back up or hand over the URL's. its called internet terrorism my friends, pure and simple.
28: Editing is nearing completion, key art is being developed and DAWNA OF THE DEAD should be available to the general public very soon. Stay tuned...
27: Editing is progressing well. Scoring, ADR, foley and sound design have begun. several sounds were not available in our library or any others and had to be created from scratch. in the process of editing some quick pick-up shots had to be gotten and cut in. the editing process seems to be more like assembling a puzzle that cutting a film.
26: Editing has begun on DAWNA OF THE DEAD. once the fine cut is made it will move along in post production and go into CGI/ visual effects. DAWNA actually has a couple dozen effects shots and the entire movie will be digitally color graded.
25: A few pick up shots have been scheduled to help propel DAWNA'S story elements. tonight we will be shooting additional footage of Aiden Starr and Zoë Mathews talking to with a "spirit board" in the cemetery, this is one of the key plot points in DAWNA OF THE DEAD.
24: Principal photography is completed, so all of the actual "scenes" have been shot. 2nd unit has started and consists mostly of story element pick-ups, FX shots, exteriors, etc.
23: Set construction is underway. an indoor cemetery and mausoleum are under construction. click here for pics.
22: Completing the movie has begun. There have been several setbacks with casting and my company... its been a bit of a nightmare. These setbacks have made things take longer than i could ever have imagined. As far as casting, even with the sudden interest in horror-porn it is still somewhat difficult to find willing and quality talent. some girls just aren't down with getting raped by a rotting corpse. heh heh...
21: The contract is signed and Joe Davis, Greg Bonzer, Gregg Simon & Dave Navarro are now officially executive producers. There is discussion of a DAWNA soundtrack CD featuring Dave Navarro and Rob Zombie along with a pretty heavy advertising campaign.
20: Well its been awhile since I've updated, lets catch up. met with Joe Davis over at CVI and negotiated the contract for the remaining budget needed to finish DAWNA OF THE DEAD.
19: Sunday Oct 9th. So the 1st trailer is done and the site is being updated to include all the DAWNA materials, this is gonna be fun. I need to go back to the script and work on getting the next scenes ready so they can be shot.
18: Found out that someone else has just made a zombie porno and its been getting less than rave reviews, don't know if this should worry me on several levels or not. Guess we'll see.
17: Wednesday Oct 5th. Today is the day we shoot the DP… or so I thought. GWEN FOXX, who was booked to shoot a DP decided during the actual shoot that she "wasn't comfortable enough" to shoot the DP. However, she did provide some really great female ejaculation/squirting footage. My two zombies finished the scene soaked from head to toe, along with the set and everything else. This is something you have to see to believe.
16: Been editing, trying to get the site and trailer put together and up ASAP, got another shoot in two days.
15: Aiden's last shot was a dialog scene in which a dark barking is prevalent through the scenes entire audio, probably gonna need to loop that in post.
14: Friday September 30th. The next shoot features Aiden Starr who is 4' 10" and just did her first ever boy/girl scene in this video. We all thought it was a little odd to do your first boy girl with a rotting corpse but she seemed to dig it. The scene hit a couple of snags but Aiden was great and never gave me any shit about the schedule, which was hellish. Her 2nd scene (which she was even more into) was a zombie girl/girl scene in which she and Zenova Braeden come back from the dead and get it on using a severed arm as a dildo. Another first was Aiden had never worn contact lenses before and I don't think she was too crazy about the experience. But there is some great behind the scenes footage of her trying to get the contacts in, it's really funny.
13: The 1st official shoot is wrapped. It features Zoë Matthew's masturbating on a tombstone, getting raped and killed by a zombie and then returning as a zombie herself. the shoot went well and looked great. We picked up some of the story element scenes a day or so later.
12: The 1st scheduled scene ended up needing to be pushed back two days. This was because some tweakers were screwing around on a motorcycle and ran into the outside wall of the studio and collapsed part of the wall in. Needless to say repairs had to be made.
11: The sets ready and the first official shoot for DAWNA is scheduled for tomorrow; these will be the first scenes of the project. The talent booked is Zoë Matthew's.
10: The studio has been converted into a nighttime cemetery scene, complete with real tombstones and a fog machine. The walls need to be covered with duvateen; however, we couldn't get the duvateen in time so 24 yards of standard matte black material from the fabric store will have to suffice. Still need to put it up and test the lighting… again.
9: The majority of DAWNA is going to be shot in a small studio in California about an hour outside of Los Angeles. It's a shitty area but the rent is cheap. There's allot of noise 24 hours a day so I'll probably need to do allot of clean up in post. I don't think anyone will call the cops and report the actresses screaming. Why? Well… about a week ago two guys were arguing outside and one guy said "I'm not gonna sell you any drugs till we go inside" so I got irritated with all the noise and called the cops and explained the situation to them as it was happening. The guys eventually ended up in a fistfight and then settled it and went somewhere. The cops never showed up or even drove by, so I think I'll be fine.
8: Pre-production is the best, I got to buy and create zombie costumes. I mail ordered most of the supplies from year round Halloween stores. Being early September right now its going to be pretty easy to find props and other needed supplies. A few touches and the principal zombie rapist is complete.
7: I pulled out the DARKEST script and realized that even though this would have been a killer erotic horror movie; it didn't really work for a horror/porno. So I rewrote it. I didn't change the basic story but I dumped subplots and changed male characters into female characters. One night I couldn't sleep, so I got up in the middle of the night and started writing and the script just came together.
6: Being a movie collector from back in the day I had no problem finding a bunch of movies from the 70's that mixed hardcore violence and hardcore sex… THRILLER; A CRUEL PICTURE, EROTIC NIGHTS OF THE LIVING DEAD, BAISE MOI, ENTRAILS OF THE VIRGIN (even though the sex is soft core most viewers would have serious issues) and RE-PENETRATOR. These movies are available commercially, so it's obvious that "illegal" was not really the case. Just in case, I talked to a lawyer who clarified the 2 actual laws governing adult films. So with this what I knew had been confirmed, I was going to make this horror/porno project.
5: Since a real horror/porno has never really been made up to this point allot of the girls I talked to about the project use words like "illegal" and "jail" in regards to my making this project. I decided to do some research…
4: Sometime in 2004, 11 years later, I had already made a couple of features (NIGHTWALKERS, THE PRIVATE DICK etc.) I decided to make another movie. Since I'm the producer and financier of my projects it's all up to me. I had horror roots so I really wanted to go with a horror title, but these days I have connections to adult talent, so I was having trouble deciding what kind of movie to make. Being that horror and adult were both doing quite well as far as popularity. After much deliberation I decided to have the best of both worlds and finally shoot a horror-porno.
3: A cockfag I knew was acting as the "producer" and had gotten us the money to make DARKEST from a guy that had hurt his back and got a pretty good settlement. On the day the check was supposed to be delivered I show up to the cockfag's shitty apartment and woke him up, when I asked him about the check, cockfag said the investor "just blew town". Shortly after that cockfag got a new computer, furniture, stereo and a bunch of musical equipment too. When I asked where an unemployed loser comes up with all this new stuff all I got was that it was "a gift" so the script, and the idea sat on the back burner for many years.
2: DAWNA is a Revised Version of a script I had written in 1993 titled DARKEST BEFORE DAWN. I had been really into the idea of horror porno since I first started making movies. Later, I worked at an adult bookstore and I saw that at the time there was no horror porno, it had never been shot and if it had, it wasn't available in America. So not having access to adult talent the time I decided that DARKEST was going to be a 16 mm horror film with some pretty over the top scenes of sex and violence, but the sex was all soft core as this was just an erotic horror film.
1: DAWNA OF THE DEAD mixes the elements of horror and porno together and contains scenes of graphic sex and violence. The basic story is that people are inexplicably drawn into this cemetery in the middle of the night, little do they know that the dead have risen in the cemetery and they meet their fates in vile and hideous ways.
